Easy Installation

SuperSprings install in 30 minutes or less on virtually every make and model of Pickup, SUV, Passenger and Commercial Van equipped with rear leaf springs. Installation usually does not even require the removal of the rear wheels. Even the "Do it yourselfer" can install them in less than one hour with common automotive tools.

No Suspension knowledge required!

We do recommend however, that you have at least a minimal amount of automotive repair or maintenance experience. Installation does not require any disassembly of the existing suspension. SuperSprings are supplied with premium quality plated hardware and all necessary installation parts.

SUPERSPRINGS INSTALLATION STEPS

Step 1 Positioning the vehicle

Vehicle must be on level solid surface.
Park brake ON – Ignition OFF.
Place blocks in front and rear of the front tyres to prevent the vehicle moving.

Step 2 Jacking up vehicle

Place the jack on the chassis frame member – not the axle or differential.
Raise one or both sides of vehicle so that rear wheels are slightly off the ground.
Support vehicle with jack stands.
You may optionally remove the tyre & wheel to gain easier access for the installation, but it is not required.

Step 3 If factory springs are located below the axle
Clean any excess dirt or grim off the axle between the u bolts.
Peel of double side tape from rubber block and place it in the centre of u bolts, double side tape face
down on axle.
Slip Superspring over the wheel or slide in from behind, and position it above the axle.
SKIP TO STEP 5

Step 4 If factory springs are located above the axle.
For the Ford F250 place 2 rubber blocks in the centre of spring pack in between the u bolts there is a space you will see.
For most other vehicles with the spring pack over the axle you will fi nd that it has a rubber bump stop in the middle of the spring pack. You will need to cut off approximately 35 to 40 ml with an electric or air saw. By spraying a little window cleaner on the rubber makes it easier to cut. You need to have a level cut so the Superspring will sit on it. If you do cut too much off you can use one of the rubber blocks supplied to increase the height.
Slip the Superspring over the wheel or slid in from behind vehicle, and position it.
Glue the cut of piece of bump stop back on top of the Superspring in line with the original.

ENSURE BRAKE CABLES ARE NOT TOUCHING THE
SUPERSPRINGS BLADE(S). SECURE THEM
OUT OF THE WAY WITH ZIP TIES OR RE ROUTING.
Step 5 Attach front shackle

Ensure that all A/C lines and / or brake cables that could be damaged by the Superspring blades are clear.
In the event of confl ict with ANY lines, or where additional lift is required, use shackle upper bolt hole.
In other cases use the lower bolt hole.
Attach bolt on front shackle.
Ensure that both polypropylene and steel rollers are in the shackle.

Step 6 Attach rear shackle
Use a clamp or a strong pair of hands and pull down rear shackle.
Attach bolt on back shackle as in No. 5 above and tighten.
Choose which hole you put the bolt through depending on what weight is on the vehicle
NEVER TIGHTEN TOP BOLTS ON ANY OF THE SHACKLES.

Step 7 Check final alignments

Note SuperSprings do not have to be centered over the axle.
Ford BA and AU you will need to position the Superspring as far back on the spring pack close to the spring
pack rear shackle so it won’t touch the chassis rail at the front, also make sure that the bolt ends are always facing out.
Position springs to provide rollers with at least 1” clearance from any obstacles.
Recheck that no A/C lines or brake cables will be interfered with by the vertical travel of the SuperSprings.

Step 8 Repeat the same process on the other wheel
Step 9 Lower the vehicle and remove jack and blocks
Step 10 Make sure once on ground that all shackles and blades are clear and in position
